The Merion Addition
The Merion, previously the North Shore Retirement Hotel, has operated as senior-living community since the early 1960’s. Originally built in 1919 as a 350-room hotel, rooms have been combined over the years to suit the needs of extended stay residents.
The tower addition’s four-season lobby atrium serves as a gathering place for residents. The lobby atrium features a massive skylight which floods the space with sunlight and allows residents access to the ‘outdoors’ year round in a controlled environment.
The tower addition is composed of 65 units; creating a total of 205 units throughout the facility. The units feature modern conveniences necessary for senior residents to live comfortably and safely.
Designed to meet LEED® Certified status, the facility remained fully occupied and operational throughout construction.
