A Historic Honor

Sponsored by the Glencoe Historical Society as part of the city’s 150th-anniversary celebration, the Glencoe Hall of Fame was established to honor current and past Glencoe residents that have made the town a better place. The Hall of Fame selection committee received over 250 nominations for the inaugural class, resulting in the official selection of 150 members. John Myefski, President + Principal of Myefski Architects and long-time Glencoe resident, was inducted into this historic group for his many contributions to the community.
“I’m tremendously honored to be selected amongst a group of such impactful individuals,” said Myefski, “Glencoe has been an excellent place to live for the past 27 years – I’m honored to be a part of the 150-year celebration.”
In addition to his longtime residency, John was honored for his devotion and loyalty to the community as demonstrated through his significant contributions as a 15-year local business owner as well as his many years served as a board member for several local organizations.
Other honorees include entertainers such as Fred Savage of The Wonder Years, Ben Savage of Boy Meets World, and Bruce Dern. Notable business leaders such as Leo Burnett and Groupon founder Eric Lefkofsky also made the list of inductees.
